In 2009, a man named Shawn Merriman, who had been heading up a fancy investment company for 16 years, finally confessed to his wife Andrea that it was all a sham. And in one conversation, everything she had known was gone -- for both herself and their four kids. The large home. Luxury cars. Everything. (Here's her memory of that awful night.)

Here's the general story, so you can become more familiar with this gutsy woman. She moved her family to Utah, where they could rent a house, and start a new life. Not a rich one -- they'd lost everything. But a fulfilling one, nonetheless.
Andrea ended up starting a new life...and fortunately, we can follow it through her blog. I plan to follow her story, and bet you'd find it inspiring, too.
